Rolling out in September, Instagram is introducing an 'About This Account' section on all business pages. In an effort to increase transparency with users, Instagram will now show information about profiles, such as their location, former usernames and, most importantly for us, ads currently running.
Similar to Facebook's recent introduction of the 'Info and Ads' tab, this means that competitors will now be able to view each other's social campaigns running across the platform. While this will give us insights in to what our competitors are spending their money on, it will also mean our audience can see any ads we are running, and is something to be cautious of in terms of ensuring brand integrity.
